Dr. Colin P. Derdeyn is a radiologist in Iowa City, Iowa and is affiliated with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He received his medical degree from University of Virginia School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.He now serves as the Iowa Professor of Radiology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Director of the Iowa Biomedical Imaging Institute and Chief of Neurovascular Endosurgery. Dr. Derdeyn not only has significant leadership experience at the University of Iowa but has been a national leader in improving stroke care for patients across the country as a physician scientist.Derdeyn served as president of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery and chair of the American Heart Association’s Stroke Council.
