Dr. Xu Ran is a neurosurgeon at Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, China. He is a doctor of medicine, jointly trained by Shandong University and the University of Sydney, Australia under the "Project of Constructing High-level Universities", and a visiting researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is engaged in the surgical and interventional treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, such as intracranial artery stenosis, carotid artery stenosis and smog disease. He specializes in basic research design, has a deep understanding of the pathogenesis of atherosclerotic carotid artery stenosis and intracranial artery stenosis, and has explored the diagnostic and treatment modes of ischemic cerebrovascular disease from an etiological perspective using artificial intelligence and intracavitary imaging technology.
