Peng Gao, M.D., Chief Physician of Neurosurgery and Intervention Center of Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star, Public Scholarship Student of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Doctor of Philosophy in Joint Training of University of California, San Francisco, USA, and Post-doctoral Fellow of Capital University of Medical Science and Technology. He is a member of the Neurointerventional Expert Committee of the National Healthcare Commission - Capacity Building and Continuing Education, a member of the Youth Committee of the Neurointerventional Professional Committee of the Chinese Physicians' Association, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Stroke Blood Transfusion Reconstruction Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Pharmaceutical Education, among others.
He has been working in the Department of Neurosurgery at Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University since 2009. She has been devoted to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, and studied at the Institute of Cerebrovascular Disease, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), USA, from 2007 to 2009. He has published more than 20 SCI papers as first or corresponding author, including JAMA, Neurology, Stroke, JCBFM and Neurosurgery. He has co-edited and co-authored one book each. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission (BMSTC) Rising Star Program of Science and Technology, National Health Commission (NHSC) Capacity Building and Continuing Education, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission (BMSTC) and Capital Medical University (CMU) cultivation fund projects. He has participated in the 12th Five-Year Plan of the State Key Research and Development Program of China, "Research on Minimally Invasive Techniques for Cerebral Blood Flow Reconstruction in Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease", and the 13th Five-Year Plan of the State Key Research and Development Program of China, "Research on Diagnostic and Evaluation Techniques for Digitized Cerebral Blood Flow Reserve Functions and Their Application".
