Dr. Jian Chen, M.D., Chief Physician, graduated from the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and joined Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University (CMU) in 2006.

      His research interests include acute cerebrovascular disease, intracranial venous sinus thrombosis and stenosis, and other cerebrovascular diseases. He also has rich experience in arterial thrombus extraction in emergency stroke.

      He has presided over a number of scientific research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in the research of "Endovascular Intervention and Subcooling Neuroprotection of Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease" supported by the National 863 Project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China as a key member. At the same time, he is responsible for coordinating the National 12th Five-Year Plan of Science and Technology Support Program "Research on Endovascular Intervention Techniques in the Acute Phase of Ischemic Stroke", which is undertaken by Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University. He has published more than ten articles as the first author.
